Garlic Potatoes and Green beans

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

These two are the easiest thing in the world to make and they compliment each other very well.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

2 lbs of potatoes, 5 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp (or 20, to taste) of butter, milk, and salt

Method to the Madness:

1. Peel, rinse, and dice potatoes (the smaller they are the faster they cook)

2. Add garlic and potatoes into a pot and cover with water.

3. Boil until potatoes are tender (15-20 minutes)

4. Drain potatoes.

5. Mash and add butter and salt to taste. Just add a little at a time until it's the flavor you want (we're real scientific about things like that around here)

6. Add milk in slowly, a little goes a LONG way. Milk is just to make it creamy. You do not want garlic potato soup.

Green Beans

Ingredients:

green beans - fresh (or frozen), 2 tbsp. butter, lemon juice (half a lemon), and salt to taste

Throw eveything in a microwave safe bowl and heat until done (about 5 minutes)

Rocket Science!
